A Journey Through Art and Wonder
Born in Toronto, Angela Luna Gillham was first drawn to the dark, the mysterious, and the whimsical in childhood, captivated by enchanting tales like The Nightmare Before Christmas and the fantastical, sometimes eerie worlds of video games. That love later deepened into role-playing adventures rich with story and characters. She began writing poetry and fiction as a teen, but as life took root, her focus shifted to other creative pursuits—until a few years ago, when she returned to the warm, familiar embrace of the blank page. Since then, she’s written regularly, guided by personal experience, curiosity, and imagination.
With over 15 years of experience as a tattoo artist, Gillham has spent countless hours face-to-face with people from every corner of life. Beyond the craft of design and ink, what she treasures most are the conversations—stories of love and loss, humour and hardship, quirks and confessions—that linger long after the tattoo is complete. Paired with her own winding journey through tragedy, serendipity, and rare miracles, these encounters have shaped the grounded yet imaginative voice she brings to the page. Her writing carries the same authenticity and emotional depth that has long defined her art, inviting readers into stories that feel both intimate and extraordinary.
Though Gillham has lived a life surrounded by all forms of artistic expression, at her core she is a storyteller, with a gift for finding depth and meaning in even the simplest conversations. Through her writing, she invites readers into journeys that are immersive, wondrous, and just a little bit strange.
